Mentorship Program Policy

Objectives of the Program:

The purpose of the Mentorship Program is to foster growth and development among team members by providing structured guidance and support. This program aims to enhance individual skills, building meaningful connections and boost personal branding for both mentors and mentees.

Participation in the program will enable you to:

  • For Mentees: Gain valuable insights and guidance to enhance skills and achieve professional growth.
  • For Mentors: Strengthen leadership skills, enhance personal branding, and contribute to the professional development of others.

To acknowledge and appreciate participation, team members, who share their knowledge receive gifts as a token of gratitude for their engagement in the mentorship program.

How we see Mentor and Mentee

As Mentor
  • Want to share your experience and knowledge with those who need it.
  • Have willingness to guide others and a commitment to share knowledge.
  • Give constructive feedback to help mentees overcome challenges and develop new skills.
  • Assist mentees in setting goals, creating development plans and offer insights into career paths and opportunities.
  • Actively listen to the mentee's concerns and provide support.
As Mentee
  • Seek guidance and support to enhance your professional growth.
  • Take ownership of your development by setting clear goals and objectives.
  • Be open to learning, adapting, and implementing feedback.
  • Communicate your needs, challenges, and aspirations to your mentor.
  • Actively participate in mentoring sessions and maintain confidentiality.
  • Show commitment, respect, and appreciation for your mentor's time and guidance.

Application Process

  • The application includes a brief statement of interest and an outline of goals or expertise areas.
  • Mentorship coordinator will review applications and pair mentors and mentees based on the factors like skills, experience, career aspirations, and compatibility).
  • Matches will be communicated via email, including an initial meeting schedule.

Guidance and Program Structure

The program typically lasts up to 3 months, with the option to extend based on mutual agreement  

Meetings should be held weekly or upon mentee’s request, with each session lasting approximately 60 minutes.  

Agenda & Structure:

  • Initial Orientation Meeting: Set goals, discuss expectations, and establish a development plan.
  • Regular Meetings: Review progress, address challenges, provide feedback, and adjust goals as necessary.
  • Final Meeting: Evaluate progress, review achievements, and discuss future steps.

Monitoring and Support

Mentorship coordinator regularly  assess the program's effectiveness by gathering feedback from mentors and mentees on progress, challenges, and reaching goals. Use this feedback to identify improvement areas and adjust the program structure, guidelines, or training as needed.

Mentorship coordinator is available to address any issues or provide additional support as needed.

By agreeing to these terms, you agree to follow these policies and rules, helping us create a positive and respectful environment for everyone.

Review:

ALLSTARSIT will review this Policy and procedures on an annual basis, or as required, and will make necessary adjustments to ensure that it meets the needs of all team members. When we make changes to this Policy, we will update the revision date at the bottom of this Policy. Where those changes are material, we will take steps to let you know. The new modified or amended the Mentorship Program Policy will apply as from that revision date. Please always verify whether you have consulted the latest version of the Mentorship Program Policy.
